BUSTED Campaign
Accountability Standard:
Elected officials must be held to the highest ethical and legal standards. Those who engage in criminal activity or unethical behavior must face consequences, just like any other citizen.
Purpose of the Campaign:
The BUSTED!! Campaign was created to expose and track elected officials under investigation or facing criminal charges for corruption, abuse of power, or other misconduct. Too often, politicians use their influence to dodge accountability, mislead the public, or suppress information about their wrongdoing. If voters were fully aware of the legal and ethical violations of these officials before elections, many would have made different choices at the ballot box.
What Happened:
Across the country, numerous elected officials have been caught engaging in illegal activities, from bribery and fraud to abuse of office and civil rights violations. Despite clear evidence, some politicians attempt to evade consequences through legal loopholes, partisan protection, or media manipulation. Meanwhile, investigations drag on, and many continue to serve in positions of power. This lack of immediate accountability allows corruption to spread unchecked.
Why Accountability Is Critical:
When politicians face criminal investigations or charges, it is not just a personal matter—it affects public trust, governance, and democracy itself. An official under investigation cannot effectively serve the people when their focus is on dodging legal consequences. Furthermore, their corrupt behavior often emboldens others in positions of authority, leading to widespread abuse and injustice. The BUSTED!! Campaign ensures that voters are informed about the misconduct of those in power so they can demand accountability and vote accordingly.

M4L, an org he supports and employs people for his campaign and staff, sent him a bill to file. Without full disclosure and no questions asked, he filed the hateful bill into Legislation. Then did not abstain from voting.
